Unique, handmade gold jewellery

Wearing different types of earring goes back to the ancient times. In the beginning piercing the ears connected to some kind of ritual. You can still examples for this among African and South American tribes.

Earrings can be divided into two main categories depending on how you wear them. One is for the pierced ears and the clips. Gold earrings are primarily made for pierced ears since clips are not that safe that is why we do not recommend making them from expensive materials. For pierced ears, earrings have numerous different types of locks; also earrings can be placed in different spots within the ear. Traditionally, the earring is pierced into the earlobe, but nowadays piercings can be anywhere in the ear.

The traditional gold earrings can be studs or dangles. The lock of stud is great for small earrings, not bigger than the earlobe itself (also, with this type you can transform them into dangles). The dangle lock is used for longer earrings. The most popular style of gold earrings has to be the studs since this type is the most suitable for everyday usage, and also you can sleep in them. Dangles are chiefly functions as occasional jewels because ladies choose to wear them for special events. Although, some ladies wear dangles every day.

Stud earrings are mostly decorated with smaller or bigger gemstones, sometimes the metal does not even show, the gemstones is that dominant. Dangles are more spectacular, this type of earring is also decorated with gemstones. When it comes to designing dangles, there is a very important aspect that we have to take into consideration is the weight of the earrings. It can only reach 4gramm per earring since wearing something heavier is not comfortable. Heavy earrings can widen the whole in the earlobe or it could lead to inflammations. Choosing the right material for earrings is the essential because of allergic reactions.
