Engagement rings with colour combinations

When it comes to engagement rings, it is often required to create them from different coloured of gold alloys.

This has aesthetic reasons because these jewels are composed around a gemstone or gemstones and it is important to find the right colour of alloy for the setting. The colourless diamond is a neutral looking gemstone so all three colours of gold look great with it. It is also important to consider what the colours of alloys suggest with the diamond. Set in white gold, it represents elegance, in yellow gold it becomes a classic and if it is set is rosé, the jewel is playfully romantic.

It the setting is combined with a different colour body than it automatically becomes a more complex and more creative design in the final appearance of the ring. This is also an excellent solution to highlight the central gemstone with the different colours.

When it comes to colourful gemstones, it is good to harmonize the colour of the metal with the gemstone. For example, green emerald looks best with yellow gold. With the colour of ring the intensity of the gemstone can be altered so it can become a more elegant and moderate jewel.
