Engagement rings: choice of material and tradition

Diamond appears in many different colours in nature. These differentiations appear in the prices as well. Usually, the clearer and more colourless the diamond, the higher its price, also there are exceptions. There are other hues as well, such as pink, blue and green, these could be more expensive than the colourless ones which are the same size. Also, there are some hues like brown, light yellow or black which could less expensive than colourless ones, but they are still very beautiful. When it comes to picking a diamond engagement ring, one has to pay attention to the lady for who the ring is made.

There are other alternative gemstones which are chosen because of their colour by the suitors. Apart from the gemstones’ colour, their hardness is an important factor as well. The harder the gemstone the more durable and valuable it is. The diamond’s priority is no coincidence. The indestructability and invulnerability of the stone is the symbol of the groom everlasting love for the bride.

The metal of the engagement ring is usually gold. Nowadays white gold is the most popular colour, but many people choose yellow or rosé gold as well.

From engagement ring to wedding rings

Choosing and purchasing engagement ring is the first step on the beautiful road towards the wedding. This is the first piece of jewellery which the beloved lady receives, the first gift which represents love as valuable dowry. A token of love, which symbolises commitment for the giver and receiver as well.

The engagement is usually followed by marriage in a year or two, vowing loyalty and this vow is sealed with wedding rings. Wedding rings may vary in form, only your imagination is the limit. Usually, one of the most frequent requests among the ladies is to find a wedding ring that matches the engagement ring and also suits the husband’s wedding ring as well.
